The 3rd Edition of the LUCEO Student Project Award has been extended until Tuesday, May 15. Of the entries there will be 10 finalists selected, two of whom will receive assignments from AARP Bulletin and Education Week in addition to other prizes. We intend to support the passionate pursuit of long-form personal projects, whether artistic or journalistic in nature. This year’s award winner will receive $1,000 and mentorship from a LUCEO member in addition to other perks. Any student who is serious about photography will want to have these prestigious judges looking at your work. The selection will occur at LOOK3, The Festival of the Photograph in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 7, 2012 and is open to the public.
