MFI National Press Photo Contest is an initiative of the Media Foundation of India, a non-profit trust started by four working journalists to showcase and encourage the work of Indian photojournalists. Founded in 2011, this is the second edition of the contest. The jury is composed by award-winning photojournalists Pablo Bartholomew, Arko Datta and Kevin Frayer.
290 Indian photojournalists participated in this contest in 2011 sending in 6,100 images shot in 2010.
June 7 is the entry deadline.
