Ilana Panich-Linsman is a photojournalist and multimedia producer, recently transplanted to Austin, Texas. She is a frequent contributor to the New York Times.
Ilana is a graduate of International Center of Photography’s Documentary Photography and Photojournalism full-time program, where she was awarded the Director’s Fellowship. She is currently enrolled in the London College of Communications' MA in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography program.
In 2010 she was awarded the Lumix Multimedia Award at the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalists in Hannover, Germany for her multimedia piece, Fifteen.
She was a finalist at the New York Photo Awards, and was nominated for the World Press Photo Joop Suart Masterclass. Her work has been shown in London, New York & Massachusetts.
She is a graduate of the Platypus Workshop; Eddie Adams Workshop, Barnstorm XXII; and hold a bachelor of arts degree in studio art with an emphasis on photography from Scripps College in Claremont, California.
Born in Arizona, Ilana grew up in Western Massachusetts, and has lived in New York, California, London, and Spain.
