Still too early morning, when the sun began to show power but the ridge line surrounding the lake Toba still more powerful blocking the heat, Lamot Situmorang and Jeges Manik had waded the lake, paddle canoes for 1 hour to their elementary school in the village of Ujung Negri 2 Sipolha, sub Simalungun,North Sumatra ... Just like yesterday.
          Long d
istant location and lack of school facilities was not a big matter for their studies to achieve its goals.

"When I grew up, I want to be a cop" Lamot firmly said in the thick Toba Batak accent. "So i san have much money," he said.
This is commonly the case here, the police can live more than enough and do whatever they want.
He anchored on an old w
eathered old tree by the lake they found, then they continues to walk up the rock as far as approximately 2 miles, it's not a fun thing for kids at their age. But the quiet atmosphere that should they meet, no teachers and principals and even the classroom door closed ... Just like yesterday.

"We must learn to write, then go home". Disturbed to hear that, a little curiosity I asked "Is there any teacher coming actualy?" "Not sure bang". they learn without a teacher almost every day , "He is a thief, reffering to his teacher, he took a book of mine but never returned it back." He said again, still in the thick Toba Batak accent.

An hour went by waiting and play, they eventually down the hill as far as 2 miles, paddle for an hour to get home without getting the slightest knowledge today, who knows what they felt, happy or sad because they do not have a teacher ... Just like yesterday.

Possible shortage of teachers, or educational facilities make this condition persists. Delpi Sitinjak an old villagers around the school recalled "This school is almost half a century over there, this village had many children who attend that school, and even many of the student is already succeded in Jakarta. But six years ago the school principal is almost never around, he is busy in the fields, the government fund still continues but he used it on his own "."The school building, benches, tables, even the book was never any improvement. Within a month may be just one or two days they were studied with a teacher ".

No one ever knows exactly what happened here, almost in every region lagging in Simalungun facing similar things. Lack of educators (or teacher), natural conditions, lack of educational facilities and infrastructure to corruption into the cause of education funding.
Until when?
