Underage Thailand has long been known as the sex capital of Asia, and according to a survey in 2004, there are approximately 800,000 underage prostitutes in Thailand in a trade worth 4.3 billion baht per year or three percent of the Thai economy. Ohm is an award-winning international artist and photographer. Born in Bangkok, and raised and educated in the U.S., Ohm has degrees in Law (LL.B.), Communications (MA), Filmmaking and Photography (MA), and Imaging Arts (ABT-MFA). Ohm received a scholarship and attended the world renowned Rochester Institute of technology to study Photography where he also taught. Ohm's works have gained international recognition and received more than 10 international awards, and published 11 books, three of which are solos. Ohm has exhibited in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. To date he has more than 80 exhibitions to his credits. Ohm is represented by Corbis, Getty images, Wire Images, and Wenn (London). Ohm's works deal with issues of sexual identity, nonverbal communication, and subculture. His most recent work, Identity crisis: transsexual series won Sony World Photography award 2009 and has since gained worldwide exposure as part of a global exhibition. Ohm's current project deals with a controversial subject of underage prostitutes in Thailand, and is scheduled for an exhibition in Thailand in November 2010, before heading to Europe. Ohm has taught and lectured in many universities, including the Rochester Institute of Technology, Savannah College of Art, Georgia State University, Atlanta College of Art, Georgia Perimeter College, Silpakorn University, Rangsit University, Assumption University, among others. Currently Ohm is a professor in Computer Graphics and Multimedia at the Bangkok University International in Bangkok, Thailand.
